PAINTWORK OPTIMISATION

This programme of treatments is designed specifically to deal with problems such as dull and faded paintwork, swirl marks, micro-scratchs, light scuffs, key scratches and damage caused by bird droppings and minor vandalism on exterior paintwork, things that the normal Karlsson-Collins valeting treatments cannot remove.

Even the best cars in the world can suffer from some or all of the above problems and as suprising as it may seem many expensive or prestige cars can have poor paintwork from new.

For many the assumed answer to most of these problems will be an expensive respray, however Karlsson-Collins can help with treating all of the above problems without the need to re-paint the vehicle and therefore potentially protecting the vehicles value and originality which may have been adversely affected by a respray.

Where any of the above problems are evident Karlsson-Collins recommends that its paintwork optimisation process is used. This removes a minimum amount of paint (1 or 2 microns) to produce the maximum visual impact. In the majority of cases, scratches, swirl marks, buffer marks, micro-marring, cobwebbing and hologram effects can be totally removed from all types of paintwork this has the effect of levelling out the paint and producing a glass like finish and feel to the cars painted surfaces. The presence and impact of the car is dramatically improved as the newly restored and glass like paintwork can reflect light in a near perfect manner.

Karlsson-Collins never undertake paintwork optimisation without first asessing the existing quality and depth of paint on the car, this is always followed up with a one to one consultation with the owner to decide what programme of treatment will be best for that particular car.

As part of the assessment process we will conduct a test on a obscure part of the car to demonstrate what the car will look like once the whole car has been finished and optimised all over.
